These lithium batteries can be swapped out quickly without removing the unit off the operator’s back. These batteries have a battery status indicator light to tell you when you are running low and will also charge quickly to be fully recharged in just 2.5 hours. It is recommended to have a spare battery to allow the user to continue cleaning while the other charges. To decrease heat buildup that commonly occurs on the operator’s back with these backpack vacuums, Tornado has incorporated a patented Aircomfort system that keeps a layer of air between the vacuum and the user, alleviate discomfort and perspiration while vacuuming. Pair this with the harness that features padded contoured shoulder straps and ergonomic hip fins and waist belt that balances pack weight, and you have a vacuum that the user feels free to roam comfortably for long working stretches.
